Daily excurtion to Naples and Pompei

Leaving Rome early in the morning and going south on the A1, we will cross the southern area of the Lazio region called La Ciociaria, made famous by a Sophia Loren film of the same name. After having seen the Montecassino monastery we will enter the Campania region.

Once in Naples, we will go on a city sightseeing tour to see the Maschio Angioino, the San Carlo theatre, the Palazzo Reale, and the famous Galleria San Carlo.

After lunch we will continue our itinerary onto Pompei to visit the ancient city which was destroyed by the volcanic eruption of 79 A.D.. Pompeii is so well preserved, it seems as though it will burst to life any moment!

After the visit we will start our way back to Rome.
