Rome
by night tour
Our
Rome by night tour will begin at nightfall.
Our tried but true itinerary is as follows:
Starting from the Vatican Area you will admire Saint Peter's Basilica in
all its splendour. Then we will follow the Tiber to Trastevere, a
typical Roman neighbourhood, then it’s on to the Tiberine island,
Pyramid Cestia, an ancient Roman pyramid which is actually the tomb of a wealthy Roman, the Caracalla Baths, the ancient Roman’s hot
springs and the beginning of the Ancient Appian way, the
first of the famous Roman roads to be built. After that we’ll see the
Basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano, the ancient Papal residence, the
Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, the Colosseum, an incredible ancient
Roman amphitheatre built for gladiator games, the Circus Maximus where
chariots raced, the Palatine hill where Romulus founded Rome in 753
B.C., Piazza Venezia with the big national monument called the
Vittoriano, the Imperial Forums and the Roman Forum where the ancient
Roman civilization started and developed.
To end our tour we will stop to visit the Trevi Fountain or another one
of the baroque Roman squares that is not possible to see from the bus
such as Piazza Navona or the Spanish Steps.
