The tour begins with the history of the Vatican City State and
continues with the Vatican Museums which house one of the world’s
greatest collection of art. The tour includes the most important
Galleries, for example the Gallery of the Candelabra, the Gallery of
the Tapestries, the Gallery of the Maps and culminates with a visit
of the magnificent Sistine Chapel and St Peter's Basilica.
The Saint Peter's Basilica tour includes the Pietà and the
magnificent dome by Michelangelo; the Baldacchino by Bernini as well
as other monuments of artistic importance such as the statue of
Saint Peter and the incredible mosaics. We’ll tell you the story
of the Popes and of the world’s largest Catholic Church.
Our tour ends in Saint Peter’s Square under Bernini’s
magnificent colonnade.
Please note that a strict dress code is observed at the Vatican.
Please do not wear shorts or miniskirts and take care to cover your
shoulders.
When there are religious celebrations or papal audiences it is not
possible to visit the Basilica.
